Fishta Guesthouse

When planning our visit to Mrizi i Zanave, we discovered that one of the best parts of the experience wasn’t just dinner it was staying next door at Fishta Guesthouse.
Located in the small village of Fishtë in northern Albania, the guesthouse offers a chance to slow down and experience a quieter side of the country. Surrounded by farmland and mountain views, it feels worlds away from Albania’s busy cities and popular beach destinations.

A Welcome Rooted in Tradition
Shortly after arriving, we were greeted with rose water and cherry raki served on a wooden tray. It was a simple gesture, but one that immediately reflected the warmth and hospitality we would experience throughout our stay.
Staying on the Farm
The guesthouse consists of modern cottages set among gardens and farmland. Large windows open to views of the surrounding countryside, creating a peaceful atmosphere that encourages guests to slow down and enjoy their surroundings. The rooms were clean and welcoming.
One of our favorite moments was simply sitting outside our cottage and taking in the scenery. The pace of life here feels refreshingly different, with farms, fields, and mountains replacing traffic and busy schedules.
Walking to Dinner at Mrizi i Zanave
Perhaps the biggest advantage of staying at Fishta Guesthouse is its location. Rather than driving to dinner, we simply walked from our room to Mrizi i Zanave.
The short walk through the property made the evening feel even more special. As the sun began to set, we made our way to one of Albania’s most celebrated restaurants without ever needing to leave the farm.
It transformed dinner into an experience rather than just a reservation.
