A Trip to Ocean City, Maryland in the Fall

It is a beautiful fall morning as we head to the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Our final stop is Ocean City Maryland.
Leaves are gold red and brown. Everything’s changing colors. There are farm stands and harvest festivals, pumpkin catapults, gigantic pumpkins, fall treats and flowers.
The drive to Ocean City, Maryland was around 2 hours from Annapolis. Once we arrived in Ocean City we parked in public parking near the boardwalk. The weather was wonderful in the 80s. We could of brought our swim suits along but had decided to spend the afternoon walking along the board walk.
Ocean City is a great example of an American boardwalk beach town. The boardwalk runs along almost 3 miles of the Atlantic Ocean. There are taffy shops, souvenir shops, arcades, rides, Ripleys Believe it or Not Museum, surf shops, and much more.

Things We Did in Ocean City Maryland in the Fall
We had pizza at The dough Roller

We ate French fries at Thrashers. Only one location was open this time of the year and the line was long. The French fries were fresh. Our group shared a big bucket. Patrons topped off their French fries with malt vinegar and salt.

Carnival rides were closed for the season but we did get to ride on The Haunted House. Which has been on the boardwalk since 1964. For more info CLICK HERE

On the way out of town we had soft served ice cream at Dumsers Dairyland which has been making ice cream since 1939.

On our drive back we stopped before the bay Bridge at Libbey’s Coastal Kitchen cocktails. There was a wait to eat outside, but we got to get a drink and set on the lawn in Adirondack chairs with a view of the sunset over the Chesapeake bay. For more info on Libbeys Click Here
