Wandering Through the San Blas Market

Wandering Through the San Blas Market
San Blas Market

While staying in San Blas, we stumbled upon the San Blas Market, a smaller, version of Cusco’s famous San Pedro Market. Even though it was more compact, it sold all the same things—fresh produce, meats, cheeses, household supplies, and plenty of local snacks.

What I loved most was how local it felt. We were right there with the people of San Blas, picking up their daily fruits, vegetables, and bread. The energy was authentic and down-to-earth—no frills, just life as it happens.

It’s not a big market, but that’s part of its charm. If you don’t have time (or the stamina!) for San Pedro, San Blas Market gives you the same experience on a smaller, easier scale. Plus, it’s always fun to see what’s in season, from giant corn to colorful potatoes stacked high on the stalls. Read more about our visit to the San Pedro Market
