Where to Stay in Taormina

Where to Stay in Taormina

Our one night at Hotel Continental in Taormina was absolutely lovely. Getting to Taormina itself is part of the adventure driving up a winding hillside road full of sharp hairpin turns that reveal stunning views with every curve.

Parking

When it came to parking, we decided to use the hotel’s valet service instead of the public parking garage. After watching friends navigate the garage, I was so glad we made that choice. The price difference was minimal, and the convenience of simply handing over the keys after a long drive was worth every euro.

Hotel

From the moment we arrived, the staff’s warmth and friendliness made us feel right at home. Check in was smooth and welcoming, and our room was spotless, comfortable, and quiet, with a lovely balcony overlooking the area below. We could enjoy the view and still retreat to a peaceful, relaxing space.

Exploring Taormina

Exploring Taormina was effortless the hotel’s back entrance leads to a stairway that drops you right into the heart of town. Within minutes we were surrounded by charming shops, cafés, and breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea.

Breakfast

The next morning, we enjoyed a beautiful breakfast on the terrace, complete with fresh pastries, fruit, and Italian coffee—exactly what you hope for in Sicily. They had a lovely terrace but it was raining that morning and we ate inside, maybe next time.

If you’re visiting Taormina, I would absolutely stay at Hotel Continental Taormina again. The combination of friendly service, ideal location, and comfortable rooms made our brief stay one to remember.
